Why should I be adjusted while I’m pregnant?

Stress in mom’s body can change the gut make up of the baby before it’s even born. Abnormal interuterine forces can cause the fetus to move in to less optimal birth positions. When a mothers stress rises, the heart rate of the baby in utero rises. Yes some women experience back pain during pregancy but chiropractic care helps to create an ideal environment for baby to born naturally. We do this by bringing the mothers nervous system back to a resting state and also keeping the pelvis balanced for baby’s best position.

Why should I bring the baby in?

Infants are not made of rubber. The forces put on their bodies during labor (natural or assisted) is a lot. Babies who have trouble nursing or are colicy are often having problems in their spine. Developmental milestones and tummy time should be comfortable and easy for your baby. Let us use safe and gently chiropractic care to help your baby thrive.

Postpartum bodies need care too.

Pain through the pelvis can hang around after baby is born. Some women have pain returning to sex or their sports. The curves of the spine change to support the added weight of the baby. Once baby is out, the spine has to move back! I can help keep your joints moving as they settle back into your new normal.
